Travel Forte is one of 27 Independent Travel Consultant (ITC) that fall under the Travel Assignment Group (TAG) umbrella. TAG is a holding company for a total of 34 travel companies. Leon Lubbe, owner of Travel Forte has been involved in the travel industry for over 19 years. Leon has extensive ‘hands-on’ experience with both travel reservations as well as corporate travel management.

Our client base comprises of 80 % corporate travel and 20 % leisure and group travel. We currently provide tailor made domestic, regional and domestic travel management services to our clients. Quality Assurance

Travel  Forte  makes use of a fully automated Quality Control Division which offers the most sophisticated automated quality control system in the travel industry.
Prior to a reservation being completed and final documentation being sent to our clients, numerous checks on the reservation take place. These include:

  • Corporate Fare Usage. The system checks that if there is a corporate fare in place and it is cheaper than what is booked, it will reject the consultant’s booking
  • Correct published fare. The system makes sure that the correct published fare is used in order to provide the client with an accurate fare savings
  • Personal contact details of the traveler in the event of an emergency. The system checks that the traveler mobile number is inserted into the booking in the correct format in the event that the airline needs to notify the traveler of any schedule change etc.
  • Foreign exchange and insurance offerings
  • Visa and health requirements
  • International flight connection times. The consultant will be prompted to double check and ensure that they have given the traveller sufficient connecting times between international flights and different terminals/airports
  • Corporate Tracking Details. To ensure that the correct corporate deal codes are inserted where they should be in order for the client to benefit from their deals in place
  • Ticket Time Limit. A future check. The system will not allow the consultant to issue the ticket if the ticket time limit of the airline has expired
    Issuing Carrier. The system prompts the consultant to issue on the correct airline.

These checks are completed in conjunction with numerous back office checks to ensure full compliance to each client’s individual travel policy. These checks include financial checks as well as adherence to the corporate client’s preferred partners / travel suppliers.

Service Level Agreements

The service level agreement documents service criteria and provides guidelines for performance management to ensure that Travel Forte  meets our clients’ expectations. It also helps to effectively manage the travel budget and drive costs down. We base our service level agreements on the 4 key areas of the balance scorecard:

  • Savings
  • Service
  • Control and technology
  • Safety and sustainability

The weighting, objectives and outcome ascribed to each of the key areas are flexible and agreed with each client, based on the company’s specific objectives.
